Armenia Startup Academy Traction Program is an intensive mentorship-based program designed for companies that have managed to gain initial traction, and need help in intensifying it. We partner with top mentors to establish the most appropriate growth framework, leveraging mentors’ deep expertise in Growth Hacking and Sales. As well, the program aims to support companies with expanding to international markets and fundraising, including fundraising strategy and deck development.
The program is initiated by Catalyst Hi-Tech and Entrepreneurship Development Foundation; and supported by EU4Business “Technology Development for Armenia” project operating under the EU4Business initiative of the European Union implemented by German Development Cooperation-GIZ. Viva-MTS, Armenia’s leading mobile network operator, joins the initiative as a corporate partner and supporter.

Narine Kotikyan

Hamlet Azarian

Zareh Baghdasarian

years of experience of leading  growth-focused technology start-up companies. Previously, he was the Chairman, CEO, and Co-founder at Avata Intelligence (acquired by Procore Technologies) and co-founded Monterey Networkshe (acquired by Cisco Systems for $550M). Zareh holds 18 technology patents, and his inventions helped make various companies profitable.

Who can apply?

We are looking for startups that:

  Managed to gain early traction  (revenue/user base/launched product)
  Have raised a minimum of $20k funding in the form of grants,
    angel, VC financing, or bootstrapping
  Previously graduated from an incubation/pre-acceleration program*

How is this program different from Armenia Startup Academy Pre-acceleration Program

While within the scope of ASA regular program we work with prototype or MVP stage companies and guide them through their customer development and go-to-market strategies, ASA Traction Program is designed for companies that already have launched products and managed to gain traction. The program is meant to increase companies’ traction through intensive mentorship-based work toward growth hacking, sales, and fundraising.

Is the program in-house or remote?

Following the outbreak of COVID-19 the upcoming batch of the program will be moved to a remote format. The founders will operate online with mentor meetings and meetups taking place over video conferencing.

Do you accept international startups?

The participation of international startups in the program is highly encouraged.

What resources and opportunities will be provided during the program?

Selected teams will have access to the wide network of experienced domain professionals from Armenia Startup Academy community located in Armenia and abroad. The teams will be able to take advantage of our cloud infrastructure and service partnerships benefits.

How long is the program?

The program lasts 10 weeks and is followed by a Demo Day.

Where is Armenia Startup Academy?

Armenia Startup Academy is based in Hero House, a tech and entrepreneurship hub in the center of Yerevan.

How much does the program cost?

The participation of startups is free of charge. If you have a promising idea and a competent and dedicated team to walk the path, we are here to help you speed up your journey!

Do you ask for compensation in the form of equity?

We won’t be asking for equity during the current batch of the program, but it might change for the upcoming batches.

Do you invest in the companies that go through the Traction Program?

We don't invest, but we connect participants with investors and funding opportunities.

Can the ASA Pre-Acceleration Program graduates apply for the Traction Program?

Traction Program is the next-level program of ASA Pre-Acceleration, which means graduates are welcome to apply if they match the program requirements.

Who are the mentors involved in the program?

The mentors of the program are high profile professionals and industry experts, people who exited companies, have done B2B sales to Fortune 500 companies, implemented growth hacking for companies with millions of users, are leading professionals in email marketing and sales, etc.
